Putin goes to war in Ukraine
A dispute has begun that many thoughts were unthinkable. It will reshape Europe’s security.
Vladimir Putin’s war against Ukraine, long predicted by the West, began around 5:40 am Moscow time when he declared a “special military operation” on television. The extent was not immediately clear, but all evidence showed a large-scale attack. Putin argued that his goal was to demilitarize and “demilitarize” the country, pose a deadly threat to Russia, and within minutes of Kyiv’s major airports and many other cities. Said he heard an explosion near. The Russian Defense Ministry said it was aimed solely at military objectives. Russian troops have reportedly landed in two major ports on the Black Sea coast of Ukraine, Mariupol and Odesa, but these reports have not been confirmed.
Surprisingly, Putin issued a nuclear escalation when he deployed troops to strengthen the eastern side of NATO and warned Western nations that threatened “massive” economic sanctions not to intervene. It looked like it was threatening. He explained: “For those who may want to disrupt ongoing development, I have a few words. It will bring results that have never been seen in history.”
