based on the performance of the team. A total number of 8 teams will be participating in the mega
clash and the top four teams will reach the playoffs.

In match number 51 which was played between Gujarat Titans v. Lucknow Super Giants in
Ahmedabad stadium which is in the name of our Hon’ble prime minister Shri. Narendra Modi.
The stadium is one of the world biggest cricket stadiums in the world with a capacity of 1 lakh 30
thousand spectators.

The match started at 7:30 pm between table topper GT and number 3 LSG after
LSG captain Kl Rahul was ruled out of IPL due to an injury hand it was the biggest setback to the team but from the fans’ point of view, it was a cricket rivalry between the two Pandya brothers.LSG won the toss and decided to field first.

Power play Gujarat Titans: –
Saha and Gill came to bat as openers and Mohsin from the other end operated as a bowler from LSG both the better gave a sublime start for their team and reached a record feat in the power play where they scored the highest of 78 runs stand in which Saha scored a fantastic 50 runs off just 22 balls after an excellent stand of 142 runs.

Saha perishes to Avish Khan in 12.1 over while trying to accelerate the scoring rate on the other hand Gill also played a beautiful hand and scored a fifty mere in 29 balls and he made sure that he will bat till the end and gave GT a total of 227 but unfortunately for him that remain unbeaten on 94. The best bowling figures from LSG were Avish Khan’s 4 overs 34 runs and 1 wicket.

Power play Lucknow Super Giants: –
After the break when LSG came to chase down the total with new opening pair Myers and De Kock
and Shami operate the bowling attack for GT as Shami is the leading wicket-taker of the season so far
the duo openers counter-attack the bowlers and put up a great show while smashing all rounds of the
park and ended up the power play at 72 for no wicket.

Then the Afghani spin twin came to play Noor and Rashid both bowled stump to stump and did not give much for accelerating the visitors as the required rate started claiming up then the experienced Mohit Sharma came into the picture with his slower delivery in his first spell and with 2 and delivery in 8.2 over where he sent Mayers packing with the slower short ball but need to thank Rashid for some magnificent caught while diving and that helps in breaking the partnership between the two betters and getting rid of the dangerous-looking Mayers,

Hooda came as the next batter struggling with the form in the ongoing IPL and perishes to Shami in 12.2 overs while trying to clear the mid-wicket in the meantime run rate started crimping up.

De Kock on the other hand reaches his fifty and was playing shorts on one end. Mohit in his 3 rd over made things more worst for LSG when he got Stoinis while trying to clear the fence. Things did not go well for the visitors as the set batsmen de Kock also perishes after making well 70 runs of 41 deliveries and became the first wicket for Rashid of the match.

All hopes were on Pooran who also fail to deliver as another spinner Noor Ahmed got him out due to the pressure of the required rate wickets were falling at regular intervals and LSG were not able to reach the victory mark they were 171 for 7 at the end of the 20th over which made sure that the defending champions at their home ground won the 51st match comprehensively by a margin of 56 runs and remains a table topper with almost made it for playoffs.

Conclusion: –
From the presentation and both the captain’s point of view, it was noted that the surface played
exceptionally good which they didn’t expect the losing captain of LSG discussed the lack of
commitment in the bowling where they gave so many runs and were also seen discussing the bond
between the Pandya brothers and what they share on and off the field.

On the other hand, when it comes to GT captain Hardik as they won the game and made their ticket reserved for the playoff was seen talking about the team effort and credit to the whole team for the win while pointing out the game-changing moment it was non the less that caught which Rashid took to get rid of the dangerous looking Mayers at the end Gill was declared as Player of the Match for his magnificent 94 runs.

He saw praising Saha for his experience what he brings to the game and how they both complement each other. From LSG’s point of view if they want to make it to playoffs they need to win the upcoming match from here onwards to keep themselves in the hunt for that they need to come up with better plans with their captain Rahul is ruled out of the IPL due to injury and needs proper execution of the same a lot
will depend on the new standing caption and how he will approach it from here onwards.
