When these chemicals make their ways into soil and water bodies they causes water pollution and land pollution which is harmful for humans and animals . When these litter burned in open air they can release toxic gases like Carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide etc. which are very harmful for our respiratory system, health problems and it can be a base for acid rain.

2. LITTER HARMS BIOTIC COMPONENT OF ENVIRONMENT

Littering here and there can harm aquatic and land animals every year. Land animals die each year after consuming the disposed garbage especially plastic. Similarly Marine animals or aquatic animals like dolphin,fish whale,turtle etc. also become entangled in the garbages and die due to drowning.

3. SPREAD OF DISEASE DUE TO LITTERING

The breeding point for organism causing disease called pathogen is discarded litter. Disease can be caused by these organism directly or indirectly. Some diseases like Tuberculosis , Pneumonia, Diarrhoea , Tetanus , whipping , cough etc are spread due to improper waste management .

STEP TO STOP LITTERING FOR THE BETTERMENT OF ENVIRONMENT

1. Regulating Proper Law and Order

Regulating strict law against any illegal activities in society is the key to probhit such work of action , as well in the case of illegal dumping and littering there should be a clear and punishable law which would include imprisonment & fines too…

Campaign’s is one of the efficient method of providing knowledge and awareness between people. small community programs and group should be made to aware people for cleaning their neighbourhood clean and tidy. we can also use social media platform and newsletters to spreading the message widely on other hand putting stop littering sign board near the highways and Street road can boast the idea of awarness.

3- Putting Garbage Bins

Recycling is the one of the efficient method to prevent littering or the effect of littering. There are many useful thing which can be possibly reused other then throwing in the garbage and by recycling these type of material not only us but our environment will also be secured.
