BACKDROP OF THE EVENT
PM Narendra Modi attacked the Congress party vehemently, accusing it of raising “balloons of lies,” and asserting that regardless of what the party does, it will not profit and that the Bhartiya Janata Party will establish the government with a majority. “Congress is so frightened ahead of the elections that they are compelled to bring people for campaigning so that they can shift the entire blame to one another,” remarked PM Modi. To market its lies, Congress has established an ecosystem.
There is absolutely no truth to these outright lies. However, the public is aware of the party’s reality. So, there won’t be any profit, no matter how big a balloon they blow up. Further, he claimed that the Congress party’s politics and development are only “on paper” and that they can “never develop” the state of Karnataka.
“The needs of Karnataka’s women were shamefully ignored by the previous Congress administration. They haven’t done any development work for the farmers. The BJP’s initiatives have benefited the state’s farmers. He asserted that the BJP will form the government with a majority of seats now that all of the lies told by Congress have been exposed.
According to the prime minister, the Congress administration put off women’s emancipation and girls’ education. Girls used to drop out of school because Congress did not designate separate restrooms for them. But because of the BJP’s push to abolish gender inequality, more and more girls are now attending school.
The PM while calling out the congress for its hypocrisy and deception, strived to bring forth the commendable work done by BJP in the state.

BJP HAS BEEN THE STALWART OF INTERESTS OF WOMEN AND FARMERS
The PM made certain assertions. The education of girls and women’s empowerment was delayed during the Congress administration. Previously, because Congress did not create separate restrooms for girls, the girls quit school. However, the BJP ran a campaign to end the discrimination against girls, and as a result, more and more girls are attending school now. The Russian Ukrainian situation resulted in a record rise in fertiliser prices, but the nation’s farmers were not made to bear the weight. The BJP gave the farmers services through the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana.
Congress once used to swell middlemen and its coffers in the name of debt waiver. From the Kisan Samman Nidhi, we sent Rs 80,000 crore directly into the accounts of the farmers. In the past nine years, we have given farmers 2,000 new varieties of seeds. Despite crises, we have never permitted a countrywide scarcity of fertiliser.
Despite the motivations behind making political comments, it cannot be denied that the BJP has done concrete work to strengthen the vulnerable position of farmers and women in this country. The overall educational indicators show that since the saffron party took over there has been considerable improvement in the effective dissemination of education.
CONGRESS FAILED THE PEOPLE OF KARNATAKA
Can a party that just seeks to promote corruption and appeasement develop the state of Karnataka? Can a party that charges 85% commission determine the future of the young? Congress has never advocated for young people. The PM used both the tool that is brutal criticism and self-appreciation to make an appeal to the people. Reminding the people of all the major failures, scandals, accusations, and promises is the textbook step for influencing people to vote for their party.
However, in the present case, there is substance to some of these claims and the failing state of inner-functioning of the congress party has become as infamous as a 1990s advertisement jingle.
THE WAY FORWARD
The BJP has taken the majority of the states under its umbrella including those in northern and northeastern India however, the saffron party is yet to fortify its position in the south.
So far Karnataka is the only major state in the south where BJP has been to make way for itself, it would appear that the Dravidian politics remain an enigma to the party in the centre. If Karnataka becomes a stronghold of the party in the south then, it is likely that the party would gradually increase their number in other neighbouring states.
Concomitantly, Congress is fast losing all its popular support and the party has reached a state where it has to form alliances to even stand a chance against the saffron party and its allies. At this juncture, it is important to understand it is imperative in a democracy to have at least two prominent parties which is the case in U.S. and U.K. Failure to have such a set-up could possibly result in an authoritative administration which is against the very fundamental principles of democracy.
At last, after waiting for centuries India is finally in its prime and while the country has progressed by leaps and bounds under the BJP leadership, excessive domination of one party poses the risk of collapsing this country when it has actually just begun to take its real form.
