A fresh and tender batch of Agniveers belonging to Chilika in Odisha is all set to be inducted into the Indian Navy. There were about 2600 very new and freshly recruited or elected Agniveers who took active participation in the parade of Chilika in Odisha that was passing out.
The first batch of them also includes a decent number of women approximately 273 who went under sixteen weeks (16) of rigorous training at the INS Chilika. The chief guest of the parade that was passing out was the Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Mr R. Harikumar.
The event was graced by the estimated presence of once the athlete and now the President of the IOA which is the Indian Olympics Association honourable PT Usha and the former Indian Women’s team captain Mithali Raj. A huge number of defence personnel, some special invitees along with the parents and guardians of the Agniveers were present on that very occasion.
It can be clearly seen that when the government came up with this new and a very unique scheme it underwent a lot of hatred for the government and not just the propaganda but there were many protests also that was not at all peaceful from any view but after all this also there was a community who always believed in it and had some or the other faith in the very scheme and this faith and trust came out in a very beautiful and energetic event like that.
All India Report (AIR) published the reports about how the crow embedded with glory and grandeur was rightfully descendent with grace on the new blooded youths that are our Agniveers of our this took place at the INS Chilika, Odisha on Tuesday, even they took participation in the passing out parade which is a moment of glory for all of them who were witnessing them live.
The bold and enthusiastic confidence and body language that of the young nascent soldiers exuded in the parade hid all the unfriendly and aggressive narrative that had sought to neutralise the very scheme when it was announced by the government for the very first time.
The confidence of these young soldiers was telling in itself very loudly and clearly that they were very eagerly waiting to serve their motherland coupled with the feeling of pride their parents were having on them and all the guardians in all the ways possible made the night entirely gracious and the passing out parade marked it as a very historic moment to be memorised and be cherished for a very long time to come.
The first batch of the Agniveers also comprised those women and men who have already been a part of the Indian Navy RD Parade Contingent on January 26 at the Kartavya Path this year. It was telecasted to be viewed online on the official YouTube channels and official Instagram page of the Indian Navy. It was also telecasted live on the Doordarshan network and for the very first time the passing out parade was held at sunset on March 28. They have also worked and learnt different areas including POP services, academic and outdoor.
The awards were distributed by the daughters of India’s Chief of Defense Staff to women firefighters and the General Bipin Rawat Trophy was also given to the woman soldier who already topped the training among qualified women firefighters of the Indian Navy.
Among all these events one thing that came out as prominent was that the female sector of society was given a special reference they were treated with equal opportunities and rewards this time and this could be set as a perfect example for the upcoming events organised by the government.
