Defining caste – hate speech and Crime

Any form of communication or conversation or act against a caste identity of an individual person or a group of persons by any Abusive act or humiliating and dehumanizing them on the basis of their bottom caste order is known as Caste Based hate Speech and hate Crime.

For example,
In Part of India, most Dalit face these humiliating words from upper groups of caste order. Hence many research Agencies and Organisations have stated that, where there is caste discrimination in a society, that society has to face caste-hate crime too.

Whereas Rwandan Genocide is one of the best examples of hate crime, which shows the killing of the Ethnic Minority Tutsis in Rwanda…..

In a recent year, research based on caste discrimination noticed that more than 260 million Dalits worldwide have been suffering from these types of issues, especially Dalit women. Thus caste-based discrimination and hate Crime is a really critical Human Rights violations which must be addressed by the law and order of a particular Nation.

Hate Crime in India

There is no doubt that our Holy Indian Constitution strictly objects to and guarantees protection of equality and provision of discrimination on grounds of religion, race, caste, sex, and place of birth under Article 14 but despite these laws, hate crime has always been a black mole on the clean character of our nation.

Friends Hate crime in our Indian Constitution is like a faded Shadow which can’t be well defined nor can be easily converted into a proper form, However some of the sections of the Indian penal code deal with the Hate crime like 153A, 153B, 295A, 298,505(1)and 505(2) which clearly signifies that any type of spoken or written word that promotes dehumanizing hatred or abusive insults on the basis of religion, ethnicity, caste, race, color, language, etc all are punishable under law.

Nowadays a group of castes has become a vote bank for politicians, in order to be in power they enforce such people for their own benefit. Sometimes these types of enforcement create a very dangerous situation for the law and order to handle such as Riots during election time.

We all know that India is a secular state where different types of religious and ethical groups have the right to live freely and happily with enormous fundamental rights. But on the other hand, these multitudes of religious and ethnic groups lead to violence and hate crimes.
