

Karun Sanjaya

Mr Karun Sanjaya is an Assistant Professor at Symbiosis Law School, Nagpur, A Constituent of Symbiosis International (Deemed University), Pune, Maharashtra, India. Before joining Symbiosis Law School, he had worked as an Assistant Professor of Law at the Indian Institute of Legal Studies, Siliguri, West Bengal.
He specialised in Intellectual Property Laws and is currently the Faculty in charge of the Centre for Intellectual Property Rights and Advocacy at Symbiosis Law School, Nagpur.
His areas of interest include Tort Laws, Contract Laws, Cyber Laws, Intellectual Property Laws, Artificial Intelligence and allied laws. He has rich teaching experience in the Law of Torts, Law of Contracts, Intellectual Property Laws, Public International Law and Labour Laws.
He is a recipient of the Justice Krishna Iyer Memorial Merit Award, 2019, Adv. P.F., Thomas Memorial Gold Medal, 2019, Dr. K.N. Chandrashekharan Pillai Gold Medal 2022 and Justice Krishna Iyer Memorial Merit Award, 2022.
He was formerly the executive editor of IILS Law Review and has authored over twenty book chapters and fourteen research articles in diverse areas of law. Mr Karun had also qualified UGC NET with JRF (Law) and is presently pursuing his PhD from VIT School of Law, Vellore Institute of Technology, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India.
